Our Story

Kechkousha was founded by a group of friends who met while backpacking and hitchhiking in beautiful remote regions of Morocco in the summer of 2018. While traveling, we met many artists and artisans who create beautiful products, we were inspired and wanna share our own creation with the world but didn’t have a platform to share our creations with an international audience. The more talented people we met and the more beautiful things we saw, the more our passion grew to share our work with the world.

At Kechkousha, we meld a love of authentic artisan craftsmanship with a commitment to thoughtful consumption. All of our products are made primarily from simple, natural components. We value our product and country, and all items are ethically sourced. Our bags feature beautiful fabric accents that have been upcycled from old handmade textiles.

We personally source each and every one of our items directly from our warehouse in Usa. That’s how we know that each piece in our collection was created to a high standard of quality, through love and hard work.

Our name, kechkousha, is a uniquely Moroccan word that describes the delicate foam that tops a well-poured glass of mint tea. Mint tea is a staple of Moroccan culture and daily life, and is shared at every meal and family gathering, to welcome guests and to build new friendships. This is meaningful to us because of all the wonderful experiences we’ve shared and relationships we’ve built over many cups of sweet mint tea, and as our way to invite you into the Kechkousha family.
